Another one of our friends has a dog story to share!
All the time we hear stories of dogs starting with an unfair advantage and then overcoming that to become great companions! We love stories of redemption and so we recently asked for you to share your stories with us.
Linda & Bella had a big scare at the beginning of their relationship…but goodness prevailed!
Here is Linda & Bella’s story…
When I got Bella she (and her litter) had been rescued from a home where she was treated very poorly. She was afraid of everything.
In the quest to bond with her, I thought a small hike in North Mountain Preserve would do the trick. At a point in the hike, I fell.
Bella saw this as a chance at her freedom.
After 30 days of feverishly looking for her and meeting so many nice people, who helped tremendously, Bella was spotted and trapped. What a relief!
I enrolled Bella and myself in obedience classes at AZ Dog Sports. She has excelled in obedience with a smattering of some tricks. We moved on to also join the nose work class and have made an attempt at agility classes as well! It has been two years and to some degree, Bella is still cautious of people. She loves interacting with other dogs and learned some tricks.
I am glad to have rescued Bella!
