THANK YOU for guidance with Charlie (and his swimming lessons). We had him in the pool today, probably a 15 minute training. We were both in the pool with him, while he was wearing the shark vest and using chicken liver treats. He was SO good. Brandon had the treats and I guided/helped him off the steps. OMGoodness. He would follow Brandon, and even instead of going to the stairs, Charlie literally turned while in the pool to get more treats. We were sooo proud of him. Thank you for teaching us!
Good afternoon, I wanted to let you know that because of AZ Dog Sports, I have gotten multiple compliments from my neighbors concerning my Lana's behavior. In fact, a gentleman was on his driveway and wanted to know if I was a trainer and would be willing to train his dog! Can you believe that?! I referred him to you guys and he has your website information.
Thanks again for your help. And special thanks to Karen B.
"Just finished my first round of six classes. Very helpful and friendly staff. I cannot wait for more classes as I need more training for being a first time dog owner with a very driven breed."
We adopted a puppy and within a couple weeks thought we had gotten in over our heads having never had a dog before. I called AZ Dog Sports and they sent a trainer out to our house to assess the situation. Karen was amazing! She helped us get over the fears we had and showed us ways to manage the new puppy in our home. Over the first year of Daisy's life we had struggles, she was just being a stubborn puppy, but I wanted a perfect dog. I went back and forth feeling like we should re-home her several times within that first year. But Karen, Monika and Layne all worked me through every issue, every time...and now we have a 3 year old dog who is the most amazing addition to our family! She is still taking classes at AZ Dog Sports, 3 years later! Thank you AZ Dog Sports!
AZ Dog Sports offers a wonderful variety of dog training courses! Everything from puppy, agility, scent work, advanced training, and dog walking! They have the answers for everything dog related!
We love all of our training sessions! Each instructor has a unique perspective and caters to each and every individual dog and situation! Our pups are more confident, they walk better on leash, and are more obedient! We are not only impressed with their progress, but so happy with the knowledge and tricks and obedience skills they have learned from AZ Dog Sports!! We have learned that training with our pups is one of the best things we have done with them! It has even taught us how to respond to everyday life situations! Learning the psychology behind our pets has given life a new perspective! Thank you AZ Dog Sports to opening our eyes to the pet education world!
I had just moved here from NC when I was looking for a training facility similar to what I had in NC. I found AZ Dogs Sport and we haven't looked back. We have the gym membership, so I can pick the classes and times around my schedule. All of the trainers have been great with both of my dogs and we are trying different classes that I would probably not ever try if it would not have been offered by them.
I come along way, so for me to come they must be good!!
Everything has been perfect.......
Love this place....they offer such a variety of training courses, which is amazing for our bouncy Standard Poodle puppy. It made her time there fun, while also learning obedience starting from a very young age. Everyone there super friendly, knowledgeable and loves what they do...:)
My dog, Cooper, and I have been coming to AZ Dog Sports for 8 or so months now. We started with puppy classes, as I wanted to introduce him to new dogs and new experiences. Our instructor was Lynn, and she's amazing. She was always thinking of new things to introduce the puppies to that were unfamiliar or made different sounds. She gave a lot of different training techniques and tricks because dogs are like people, and they all learn differently! I appreciate that the students could be different each class. A puppy could be graduating from puppy class during your first class. I love that this provided Cooper with more interactions and a little bit of a distraction to work on his focus. It worked great. We went on to complete not only the puppy class, but Obedience 1 and Obedience 2. We took the sampler class on Wednesday mornings, as this class is a little of this and a little of that. Coop loved this class because he was introduced to agility with Will and he was introduced to scent work with Jacqui. Jacqui taught a lot of really fun games to play with your dog. Our favorite to play at home is the scent game, especially when it's too hot to play outside. Our favorite class is definitely Agility. We began classes with Darcy in Agility 1, where Cooper was timid and hesitant with the weave poles and tunnel. Now he races through the weaves like he was born to do it. And the tunnel? All I have to do is say "tunnel!" and he runs across the room and zooms through it!! Darcy is so wonderful, so knowledgeable. She is patient and introduces your dog to equipment in such a way that your dog becomes comfortable and decides "Oh, this is fun!! I'm doing it again!" Coop and I are now in multiple agility classes. I appreciate that Darcy gives us all individual pointers when we run based on our dog's running style. Everyone in class is supportive of each other, we cheer each other on, and get excited when the dog and handler get a run or a particular move correct. It really is a fun, positive environment, and Cooper absolutely loves going there, as do I. We went through a phase where he put his paws down and refused to leave after class--he just wanted to stay and run more courses. When we walk in for class, he stands on his hind legs to look over the counter, specifically for Deb. He gets super excited to see her and she always greets him with an excited: "How's my Super Cooper?!" This establishment is full of dog lovers who are there because they really want to see you and your dog succeed. Everyone is more than willing to answer questions and work with you and your dog on different issues. We are gym members, which is about $300 a month, and we can take unlimited classes. Cooper and I go to 3 classes a week!
I have been taking my 16 month old Boston Terrier to Arizona Dog Sports since he was a puppy. We started out in the puppy class and have moved up to level 4. The trainers have been wonderful. They have all been very patient and kind. They go the extra mile and really explain dog behavior and the in's and outs of correctly training our dogs. Toby, my Boston, looks forward to going to "school" as we call it and loves saying hello to everyone there especially his teacher Monica. He is now learning what agility is all about by learning how to run through the tunnel and over the frame. He loves it and so do I!!
Both class and training academy were absolutely amazing-worth the time and money. Trainer academy class with Will was outstanding. Two of my dogs also did beginning agility with Karen and loved it. We will definitely continue both dog training and trainers' academy.
I love this place! I've been taking classes with my puppy for the past three months. I'm really impressed with the quality of the trainers, the training area and the variety and quantity of classes offered. And to top off great service they started a new pricing program for people who would like to train more or with multiple dogs! Also a giant plus is the indoor, air-conditioned building in the summer and heated in the winter.
Duncan, who is 7 months old, needed some interaction with other pups his own age. We have two dogs at home, but Duncan needed some socialization with other dogs of varying sizes. He's only 7# so he tends to be a little fearful, which is understandable, when approached by unfamiliar dogs. I'm very confident that these obedience classes will give Duncan the skill sets in dealing with new experiences. The Obedience 1 class includes not only obedience, but agility as well, breaking up the stress of the structure. He did very well on both accounts and slept most of the afternoon, which is an indication that he had a great time.
