Movement Puzzles

What is a movement puzzle? It is a puzzle for a dog in a structured, low-impact training activity designed to boost body awareness, balance, and confidence by having them navigate obstacles or patterns independently. Unlike treat-dispensing toys, these exercises often involve moving between two points—like bowls or cones—to solve problems, enhancing coordination and mental focus. This activity allows the dog to think to solve the puzzle. As the dog learns, more obstacles are added to enhance the activity.

The activities, featuring various obstacles, promote physical fitness and problem-solving through enjoyable, self-directed movement. This class is appropriate for dogs of all ages and abilities. Great for senior dogs or dogs recovering from an injury as it promotes mobility and endurance, while conditioning the body. As well as a puppy who needs to use its energy to focus and learn.
