Bridging Forever Families Animal Rescue
Dear Family & Friends,
I’m Don Bradley. As most of you know, rescue is my passion. I have volunteered with local rescues for 10+ years. Recently, my friend Virginia, the former director of Bridging Forever Families Animal Rescue, decided to retire. She is graciously handing the leash and collar over to me, as a gift to continue the mission of this rescue. We are a 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization.
As I begin this new venture, heading up BFFAR; I assure you our mission will not change. We will continue to rescue senior pets and help foster dogs from families or senior individuals who are unable to care for them due to health issues or living changes.
We are very proud of our latest project; helping find temporary or long-term boarding for dogs of Veterans in the hospital. Through our network, we have even been able to place dogs with Veterans that wish to adopt!
As you all know it has been an incredible year. The Covid virus has caused many ups and downs. In the beginning, there was a wave of turn-ins; followed by people stepping up to adopt in record numbers. This was great to see! Now, unfortunately we are experiencing dogs being returned to us as their families resume work and life as it was before.
Fundraising this past year has also been nearly impossible. Funds are super low for medical issues, training, vaccinations, continued care, as well as daily operational needs.
We can use your help.
Your monetary donations help with all our medical needs. We always need donations for Vet visits, spay and neuters, vaccinations, micro chipping and other issues that pop up as we take in more dogs.
Your donations of pet products are all greatly appreciated as well and are used daily in our facilities. Items we need are new or gently used:
- Dog kennels
- X pens
- Food & water bowls
- Towels
- Blankets
- Beds
We are also in daily need of:
- Cleaning and disinfecting items
- Bleach
- Spic & Span
- Paper towels
- Puppy pads
- Dog diapers etc
Fuel cards and gift cards are a huge help to us as well as we will go to great lengths to rescue a dog in need.
Other ways to help…ADOPT, FOSTER, VOLUNTEER!
ADOPT… Do you or someone you know want a new 4-legged family member? We can help. We will be updating our site and sending out notices of newly available dogs in need of their forever home.
FOSTERS…without you we would not exist, and everything is supplied--- kennels, food, medical.
VOLUNTEERS are needed on a regular basis for a variety of situations. Think you don’t have time to volunteer? You can still help a special dog by sponsoring the cost of care until an adoption family is found.
Please consider helping in any way you can.
